PINOCCHIO PARK - IN COLLODI FOR A TRIP IN THE LAND OF TOYS

The stories of the little wooden puppet who dreamed of becoming a real child were born in Tuscany.
The Pinocchio Park, completely outdoor and surrounded by a well-kept vegetation, is located in Collodi, the village where Carlo Lorenzini had spent the carefree years of childhood together with his family and who loved so much that he then chose to call himself Carlo Collodi.

It is here that the writer wrote the famous childhood classic "THE ADVENTURES OF PINOCCHIO", destined to remain an immortal fairy tale, making children and adults enchant. Today, young and old can experience the emotion of entering directly into the story by visiting the Pinocchio Park. Opened in 1956, the Park is the ideal place for a family day, to spend surrounded by greenery, art and architecture and to make children know the most beloved Italian fairy tale in the world: here the imagination reigns, it is an enchanted place with an almost retro atmosphere, do not expect special effects or super-technological attractions, you can instead walk through large bronze sculptures and various works of artists. The path in fact winds through nature and retraces the events told in the book, thanks to the works of art, such as the sculpture of Pinocchio and the Fairy of Emilio Greco or the sculptures of Pietro Consagra including the Carabiniere , put to wide legs along the path, or the Cat and the Fox (il Gatto e la Volpe).
Splendid the square of the Mosaics (la piazzetta dei Mosaici) of the artist Venturino Venturi while the Great Shark (il Grande Pescecane) of Augusto Piccoli, that reproposes in giant version the famous whale that first swallows Geppetto and then Pinocchio: Children can enter inside and climb up to the top of the installation from which you can admire the whole Park.

PARK COMPLEX - THE HISTORIC GARZONI GARDEN

The entire Garzoni Historic Garden is populated by symbols and statues, which stand out among the greenery or hide, entertaining visitors who feel involved in the mysterious puzzles told inside the park itself.

Leaving your imagination free it becomes automatic to enjoy the variety of crops that grow thanks to the delicate hydraulic system that largely retraces that of the eighteenth century, thanks to which they feed water games, waterfalls and fountains.The fresh paths that lead you from the Water Staircase (La Scala d'Acqua) to evocative corners such as the Labyrinth (recommended for lovers because it is said that travel it ensures marriage and long duration of the love story!), the Theatre of Verzura (il Teatro di Verzura) and the Avenue of the Poor (il Viale dei Poveri), flanked by picturesque figures. Particular and unique is the pavilion of the Bagnetti, which shows tanks of all kinds and shapes, and each space is designed to be invisible to everyone else.

PINOCCHIO ADVENTURE - EXPERIENCE THE ADVENTURE PARK

In the Pinocchio Park in Collodi there is also the Pinocchio Adventure Route, with the stretch Vola sul Fiume (Flying on the river) and the stretch La Nave Corsara (Pirates Ship)

Children can "fly" from one side of the river to another, passing first on a Tibetan bridge, then from one tree to another on balance axes, through a barrel and then on trunks and boards, in a crescendo of difficulty that ends with the return to the Park with an exciting Tyrolean, suspended in the void above the river!
And then there is the Pirates Ship, between the flagpoles of an imaginary vessel and over bridges that would make the Pirates tremble!

Young visitors to the Park will have fun on the two paths in maximum safety, harnessed and supported by a continuous steel cable that eliminates any risk.

The Adventure Route is included in the price of the ticket for all visitors aged 5 years and with a height between 1 meter and 1 meter and a half.
